What is a Professional Organizer?
The definition given by the National Association of Professional Organizers
is as follows: A Professional Organizer enhances the lives of clients
by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through
transferring organizing skills. A Professional Organizer also educates
the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.
What is your organizing philosophy?
Our goal is to create uncomplicated organizing systems, tailor-made for
your needs and personality. The simpler and more personalized the organizing
solution, the easier it is to maintain.
What is your organizing process?
We'll start by completing a needs assessment and analyzing your situation
in order to create a plan of attack for the physical transformation of
your space or time. Next, we'll work with you to complete the steps of
the organizing process and plan for maintenance of your new organizing
system.
Do I need to purchase organizing supplies prior to the first appointment?
Purchasing containers and other organizing supplies is the fourth step
out of five in the organizing process. Before purchasing supplies, we
must first determine which items are most important to you, which you
need easiest access to, and what can go. Once we've sorted and purged,
we'll assign a space for each item. This is the point at which supplies
or shelving should be purchased. We can either leave you with a supply
shopping list or we're happy to do the shopping for you at our hourly
rate.
Will you make me throw everything away?
Absolutely not. Our goal is to help you determine which items are most
important to you. We never throw anything away without your permission.
How and what do you charge?
Please call for hourly rates. Payment is due at time of service. We accept
cash or check. "Homework" may be given to help minimize costs.
Do you have a minimum number of hours per appointment?
There is a 3 hour minimum per appointment.
Do you charge for drive time?
There is a charge for clients located 35 miles or more outside of the
Austin city limits.
Do you charge for cancellations?
Cancellations with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged one hour's
fee.
